The Salvatorians who came to India first in1890 had to leave after 25 years of arduous and selfless missionary works in Northeast India. India being the first Mission of the Society of the Divine Saviour, it always cherished memories of Indian Mission. As the years went on, the First Mission was never forgotten. The very Mission which was commissioned by the Founder himself, once again was revived. The Salvatorian presence was re-established again in India in the year 1990 at Carmelaram, Bangalore. At present this house serves as Vicariate Administration and Minor Seminary.
